Operating Guidance:
Scottish Waters

Since 1964, certain Scottish Waters have been explictly defined by law to be enclosed by fixed baselines. This defines a significant area of inland waters as well as territorial seas beyond it. The current definition for this are the coordinates between Laggan and Cape Wrath in "The Territorial Sea (Baselines) Order 2014" which is illustrated below - and is the the same delineation used in other UK Government and Hydrographic Office maps.
