HI, looking at the rules for the VHF NFD it states
Can someone explain the ins & outs of this?
    Like why not?

Who does this apply to? if not actually taking part in the contest all the time (if at all) can a HF station be operated at the same site away from the contest station? If not why not?

    Cheers,
    Matt

Did no one that uses the RSGB forums have any info about this?

Looks as if it very poorly worded, whatever it is supposed to mean.

The way it reads if operating on say 2m you cannot talk to one of your other club members on 70cm to help them find you or tell them you need some more food/drink supplies.

There are not many on this forum so do not expect quick or many responses.

    Cheers Mike,

I was advised by an old hand at the contesting that it's OK to operate on HF when not taking part in the competition, not that I had any time to do so - more just developing an antenna setup.
Yes, there are not really enough forums to bring many people here for many discussions.
